Since having George I’ve spent way more time outside. No more weekend-long hangovers and Netflix binges. Although, when he was first born I did watch the entire series of Roseanne while he nursed 16-18 hours a day. It’s wild how many stages George has already been through and he’s not even 6 months old yet.

Anyways. Outside. Parks. Lots of parks.

Our favorite since moving to Ridgewood is Grover Cleveland, although Rosemary’s Playground(!) under the M train is great for shorter walks.

George being cute:

George being perverted:

George and Shane being father and son:

Watching children interact at the park has made me think a lot about what it will be like for G to grow up in the city. There are no woods to explore and no alone time. Will he become a crazy mass murderer because of car alarms? Will he be rude and throw his McDonald’s trash on the subway? New York has a lot to offer, but it’s not like we’re going to the MET everyday. Most of the time we’re in dirty, dirty Bushwick or the slightly less dirty Ridgewood.

Wait and see?
